Monday to Friday: 9:00-17:00 (closed 12:00-13:00)

• Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays
• December 27 through January 4
• On the day of the entrance examinations to faculties of Hitotsubashi University

Remote User Services

With regard to document delivery, we require outside users to consult the librarians at their local public or school library. If it is difficult to seek advice from your librarian, please contact us. We will meet your requirements flexibly.

The book loan service is not available in our library.

Photocopying Services

• Our library provides copying services within the limits of the “Copyright Act.”
  • For the purpose of protecting creators' rights, photocopying of part of a work is permitted.
  • For the purpose of protecting creators' rights, photocopying of journal articles is not allowed before elapse of considerable time.
  • Library is allowed to provide one photocopy for one user upon user's request for the purpose of individual study and research.
• When you make copies for yourself, please be sure to fill out the Application Form before using a photocopier.
• Rare and damaged materials must also be copied through the Help Desk.

Methods for copying and charges

*No receipts can be provided for using the self-service photocopier. Users requiring receipts should make an application for copying at the Help Desk.

Pre-Application Form

• Our library has a deposit library, “Kodaira Research Library and Archives.” To find the location of the materials that you want, please submit an Application Form　[For Hitotsubashi users] [For Visitors] and the required materials. You can use the materials on the following/next week.
• For the use of Rare Books, please complete the required Application Form.  In some cases, you may not be allowed to use them; for example, if they contain personally identifiable information.

Circulation Service

One-Day Loans

• If you have your ID card (Student/Staff ID, User ID issued by Hitotsubashi University Library, or a letter of introduction, etc.), we will accept the application for one-day loans. You can use the materials at Kunitachi Campus until our library closes that day.
• Please apply at the Help Desk.

Borrowing

• Users listed below can borrow books. Application Forms should be completed at the Help Desk.

Procedure for Entering the Stack Area

Faculty and staff, Emeritus Professors of Hitotsubashi University, Graduate Students, and Undergraduate students of a 5-year Combined B.A. and M.A. in the Economics Program can enter the stack area. Application Forms should be completed at the Help Desk.
