Many statistical historical records published as pre-war administrative materials are recorded in Kazuo Yoshimoto(1984) "Statistical Historical Records in the Yamaguchi Prefectural Archives", Yamaguchiken-monjokan kenkyu kiyo, No. 11. Because reference books included in this document, which have a number of the form nnn・Ynn (where n is an Arabic numeral), are currently being reorganized by the archives and will end up with changed call numbers, these books were not recorded on this website this time. When the reorganization by the archives is finished, we plan to conduct a survey of these books and record them, so please use his work the time being.

Because Kumamoto was hit by an air strike during World War II, many of the materials from the pre-war Showa period were destroyed by fire. The library is currently working on binding copies of its materials in book form and plans to make copies of materials included here available for viewing in the future.
